The committee is pleased to follow the standards document with a more detailed guidance document which aims to provide the 'detail behind the standards'. We'd be grateful for any comments on this document.
The consultation will last 3 weeks until Monday 8th March 2010

The National Cancer Network Pharmacist's are looking at the impact of Risk Share Schemes (or Market Access Schemes) on the local NHS. Nationally there is a growing number of these schemes being submitted to NICE with very little evidence of the impact on front line NHS staff, in particular in pharmacy services.
We would be grateful if you would contribute to the research which will ONLY take 10 minutes of your time. Please click on the link below to complete the survey.

We are interested on your views even if you don't participate in the running the schemes. If you are not the person dealing with these scheme we would be grateful if you could pass on to the member of pharmacy staff in your Trust responsible for dealing with these schemes.
Deadline for completion is Monday 3rd August 2009
Any queries please direct to steve.williamson@nhct.nhs.uk
Thank you

Background:
Risk Share Schemes are seen as a way of improving access to new medicines for NHS patients. It is essential, however, that the benefits and costs of initiatives such as offers to NHS of risk-sharing schemes by pharmaceutical manufacturers are assessed as carefully as those of the medicines themselves and to ensure that the schemes genuinely offer the NHS value-for-money.
